We’re happy to announce that 1698 West Georgia Street has gained city approval in Vancouver. The residential tower’s design is inspired by the rugged rock formations and lush greenery of the North Shore Mountains and integrates a sense of nature with the convenience of urban living.

The recently completed Bundang Doosan Tower comprises two towers connected by a 100-meter tall skybridge, forming an iconic landmark near the main tollgate to and from Seoul. The 27-story headquarters for the Doosan Corporation contains 83,000 square meters of office, auditorium, and amenity space. Read more: https://bit.ly/3dmHmPR

Happy Lunar New Year from the KPF-designed CCTV Shanghai Headquarters! Located along the riverside in Shanghai’s Xuhui District, the development hosted a special light show made visible across the area to ring in the Year of the Ox.

We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and close collaborator Les Robertson, whose partnership enabled many of the projects of which our firm is most proud. With his inventive brilliance, Les brought a powerfully conceptual approach to some of our most important projects, notably the International Commerce Centre tower in Hong Kong, the Shanghai World Financial Center in Shanghai, and the Lotte World Tower in Seoul. He fought fiercely for the causes he believed in, whether in support of good architecture or of social justice. We will miss Les as a loyal friend, and will continue to advance the ideals that we shared during our lives together.

55 Hudson Yards New York comes to life through its modulated scale, crafted façade, and natural materials that speak to its formerly industrial context and the spirit of fabrication. Read about the making of the building's lobby, where tactile materials stone, wood, and glass maintain a simple palette of greys and blacks highlighted by wood tones and moments of color.

Last weekend, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the central commercial towers of Shanghai’s West Bund Financial Hub, marking the first step in realizing the new KPF-planned mixed-use neighborhood with office, hospitality, cultural, and retail components. In order to enhance connectivity, sunken gardens thread the site together below grade and connect the individual buildings to public transportation. Above ground, a long spine of cultural programming connects all of the precinct’s blocks and is supplemented by a series of skywalks and landscaped terraces that link the nearby buildings. The KPF-renovated Petersen Automotive Museum wins Museum/Collection in the 2020 Historic Motoring Awards. The museum has become an icon along LA’s Miracle Mile for the sweeping exoskeleton around the building's existing chassis. Learn more here

When KPF Urban Interface was asked to imagine a climate haven city for Quartz, the group developed a "digital twin" based on their interactive tool Scout.
