I like to talk about the science behind everything we do and how we have a systematic approach to getting the best results for our clients and I can go on and o...n about training methods and modalities but at the end of the day the most important thing is effort. You need to fall in love with the process of getting better and improving yourself physically and mentally. Everything won’t be perfect, the road won’t be smooth and there will be ups and downs. We need these ups and downs, life will throw road bumps in your path when you least expect it. One day everything going smooth and the next your willed gets flipped upside down, that’s life. Find a way to keep moving forward and get better because that’s what makes life worth living. Make today count! That’s what @kompftrainingsystems is about. #kts #kompftrainingsystems #strength #strengthtraining #strengthcoach #motivation #powerlifting #strong #hardertokill #syracuse #cuse #cny #centralnewyork See more

As many of you who know me, know that I injured myself back in April of 2020. At that time I couldn’t get into see a doctor and frankly sometime a little st...ubborn to go to the Doctor when injured. From April to December I gain 40 plus pound eating the wrong things and honestly not being able to exercise. I tried many things and many people in both the health and fitness and medical world until A reached out to Ricky Kompf at Sport Center 481. In about 3 months I’ve lost 27 pounds and I’m back to about 90%. Rick you are amazing at what you do and truly have taught me so much about my body. See more

Overcoming isometric contraction is a isometrics that is geared towards concentric contraction. It’s in which an athlete try’s to overcome an immovable object ...for maximum force at a specific angle. I like this during inseason training because there’s less muscle damage and less soreness overall, this also helps to maintain strength with lower work volume. It also helps to increase the ability to activate more motor units and create more force pound for pound. #kts #kompftrainingsystems #strength #strengthtraining #strengthcoach #strengthandconditioning #inseason #baseball #baseballworkouts #baseballworkout #baseballlife #baseballseason #syracuse #cuse #cny #centralnewyork See more

Whatever happened to go old lifting weights. I see heavy lifting getting trash talked all over social media but everyone goes crazy over functional exercises.... This is @sophiewoodridge she hits dingers, and fast AF, and a very explosive athlete. She’s very functional she also can deadlift 400lbs plus. Having elite level strength is one of the most functional things you can do for performance. Never underestimate being plan old strong and being able to lift heavy things up. #kts #kompftrainingsystems #kompftrainingsystemsfamily #strength #strengthtraining #strengthcoach #strengthandconditioning #softball #softballlife #softballseason #softballstrengthtraining #syracuse #cuse #cny #centralnewyork See more

The serrated anterior is a muscle that often gets neglected. This is the opposing muscle to the rhomboid and help with upward rotation of the scapula. Many ti...mes the rhomboids get overworked and the serratus gets neglected causing the rhomboids to overcompensate, and upward rotation to be mainly performed from the upper traps, med traps and lower traps. Possibly causing irritation in the upper back and in throwing athletes the latts to be stiff and cause a lot of eccentric force to be placed on the latts while maximally throwing like in the act of pitching. Latt strains and even tears being a common injury in pitcher when more serratus work could have potential prevented it. #kts #kompftrainingsystems #strength #strengthtraining #strengthcoach #pitcher #baseball #baseballlife #baseballstrengthtraining #pitchertraining #pitcherstrengthtraining #syracuse #cuse #cny #centralnewyork See more
