Konbini has turned 1 We can’t believe a year has flown by already!!! Although it has not been the year we had imagined we are forever grateful to all our guests and supporters! We, at Konbini do what we do because we love seeing the joy that our food brings to our customers. I, Sarah Kang, decided to join the restaurant industry because I truly believe food has a way of bringing people together and teaching us about different cultures. I have so many great memories... of eating out with friends in Tokyo, when I was studying at culinary school. The Sukiyaki Nabe (see second photo) for example wasof my ultimate favorite dishes to share with friends (fun fact: that is why it is on our menu!) I wanted others to have a place to experience the beauty of Japanese homestyle cooking while creating memories with their friends, family, and loved ones. Today, we are living in interesting times, and I believe it is very important to take a step back, slow down and evaluate the importance of spending quality time with family and close friends.
