Kripplebush-Lyonsville Fire Company

There have been some question sent via messenger and I lost they, but I will try to answer with this post. At the Fire Co. meeting April 6, we will be discussing Sub Nites, Pancake Breakfasts and Yard sales. Right now Yard sales are the safest thing we have to do and we have started to collect for one Memorial weekend. Pancake breakfasts will be discussed and maybe take out only. Sub Nite' s will be tough and would have to be take out but it is a cost considerations. With our... large number selections it hard to open the required items for each sandwich type without having lots of left overs.Example if we open 16 oz tuna and sell one the cost of that sandwich doubles because we should have gotten two sub's with that amount of tuna. Sure the members could eat it but we get nothing but well fed members for our trouble. But we will discuss it tomorrow so look here later in the week for what we plan to do. Just wanted to let everyone know we did a drive by parade yesterday. A young three year needed something to cheer him up. It was during the day so members were busy but we did get 34-10, 34-20 and two PO V's out and even played Happy Birthday over the PA. Last but not least he was presented with a toy firetruck Happy Birthday River!! I'll save an application for you. .

Wish we had some lights that could do this.

Well folks, I am sorry to say we will be canceling Sub Nite on May 8. With the stay home directive in place until mid May or even longer, that is what we have to do. We want to error on the safe side, we would not want to get someone sick or lose any customers permanently. And with all the people it takes to do Sub Nite, there is not much room in the kitchen to maintain a reasonable distance between us. I hope you understand, we would like nothing better than to say we are back. Hopefully we can get our Pancake Breakfast in for the Memorial Day Weekend and get back to Sub Nites in June. Thank you for your continued support and remember we are here if you need us for any emergencies that you may have.

I have to tell you, I am so glad they are allowing yard sales. Because we are over loaded with stuff at the Kripplebush Firehouse because we could not have the ...Memorial Weekend sale. So here goes. This Saturday, June 20 from 9 AM to 3 PM we are going to have a yard/Garage sale, Firehouse is located at 519 Pine Bush Rd in Stone Ridge NY 12484. Firehouse is located 1 mile north of US 209 between the hamlets of Accord and Stone Ridge. If lost call 845-687-9801. And after we haul in the rest of the stuff we will be back on the 27 TH same time. And probably more Saturdays after that. Hope to see you there. See more

I do not know who knows that I had a mild stroke on Wednesday 5/13 Morning. They gave me baby aspirin and sent me home Thursday afternoon. Neurologist said I s...hould be good in 4 or 5 weeks. So if you ever wondered about joining a Volunteer Fire Company here is part of what they do. 7 of the members are outside raking my leaves and mowing the lawn.
