The County Legislature is considering allocating the money to pay its lawyer to appeal the judge's decision. If it agrees to spend taxpayer dollars on this appeal, it will be the third time the County has paid its lawyer to take this case to the Appellate Court in Rochester. Both previous appeals by the County were unanimously rejected by that Court. I wonder if the newspaper is going to FOIL how much the county is spending in legal fees?

Kevin Kuehner represented the inmate in a medical malpractice action against the county because they refuse to give him his prescribed and needed medication. It caused him to have a seizure and suffer injuries to both of his shoulders. When we decide to put someone in jail we assume a responsibility to provide for their basic needs. It is not acceptable to refuse to give an inmate medication because it is too inconvenient.
