Greenhouse #2 is almost filled up for the second time. Most of the early planted annuals are now outside on wagons and in cold frames. Hopefully the weather doesn’t get to cold so we can keep moving plants outside to make room for new ones

These annual flats are doing a happy dance They have been loving the warm temperatures and finally got some much needed rain

This is the true definition of a family farmEveryone does their part to get the job done even if your only 2 years old These future farmers have been waiting to move plants outside all season. Spring is finally here and what a beautiful day it was

Today was mixed pot planting day. I wait for this day all seasonI love to create different combinations and color schemes. I probably walk miles going back and forth finding the perfect flowers so all the colors match. My dad tells me I’m crazy and that everything matches Little does he know that’s not how I work This year we planted more Black Eyed Susan pots in solid and mixed colors. And we also have a few pink Mandevilla in pots

So much for these boys helping. They would rather drive tractors in the dirt than plantI think this way makes it much easier for all of us anyways We planted so many baskets this week and started transplanting our annual flats. Everything will be blooming before we know it

Don’t forget tomorrow is the big day for the wreath open house! They will have wreaths, swags, centerpieces, maple products, beef, pork, chicken, goat milk soap, jams and jellies, maple gift baskets and hand painted ornaments. Be sure to stop in and check another person off your Christmas list. This event is happening at 1177 Church Road, Angola. Shop local and support small business.
