For our clients who have Oxford Health and are also on Medicare you need to read this: For years Oxford Health Plans has not specifically required members who were Medicare eligible to have both Medicare Parts A & B coverage. As of July 1, 2020 Oxford is changing how they enforce their policy. For members who are enrolled in Medicare Part A, but not Medicare Part B, Oxford will process their claims by applying Medicare estimations, thus reducing the amount of Oxford’s reimb...ursement. After July 1, payments to members 65 and older will be reduced assuming Medicare has already paid their part of the claim. Oxford will be sending letters to the appropriate members advising them of this change and letting them know they can enroll in Part B coverage during the Medicare Part B open enrollment period of January 1, 2020 March 31, 2020.
