Since 2005, the population in Puerto Rico has plummeted by 26% no other country in the world comes close to that level of depopulation. It is as if a war was raging for 15 years and 1 million refugees fled in that time. This is not so much an issue of rich foreigners moving in. That's fine. The issue is Puerto Ricans slowly being replaced, like what's happened in Hawaii, where only 10% of the population today is Hawaiian and Pacific Islander. #SomosMás

As Puerto Rican athletes begin to pack their bags for the 2021 @olympics in Tokyo this summer, there was a legislative hearing on Puerto Rico’s political status. The question was never whether Puerto Rico can compete on the world stage, but whether it is allowed to do so, untethered, unleashed, like our athletes, artists, and astronauts. Grijalva, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources (the same committee that manages wildlife); 2x Olympic Gold medalist Melanie Díaz; Pan American and Central American and Caribbean Games medalist Brian Afanador] #somosmás #palante #naciónboricua

Today is the first time the 65th Infantry Regiment, aka the Borinqueneers, is nationally recognized. #Borinqueneers #65thinfantry #SomosMás The 65th Infantry Regiment, nicknamed "The Borinqueneers" during the Korean War for the original Taíno Indian name for Puerto Rico, is a Puerto Rican regiment of the United States Army. The regiment's motto is Honor et Fidelitas, Latin for Honor and Fidelity. https://www.telemundopr.com//puerto-ri/__trashed/2201733/... https://www.npr.org//puerto-rican-soldiers-will-be-honored https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/65th_Infantry_Regiment
