As many of you may know, our beloved mini horse, Merlin, tragically and unexpectedly, passed away on Friday night. I have been unable to type what happened until this morning. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to Merlin's vet bill both online and offline!! We raised $820 of is $1155 bill! We're 75% of the way there plus we're having a paint party fundraiser for him on the 24th!

We're having a fundraiser for Merlin on March 24th @7pm at our home farm, Legacy Stables, LLC.. All are invited and a portion of the proceeds will go to Merlin and his most rexent vet bill!

We have been very busy! We recently rescued 3 Pregnant Goats from a farm in Dutchess County that was closing. All 3 does had twins! So in total, we were able to save 9 lives! The goats will be seen tomorrow by the Vet. If you'd like to contribute towards their care, we are a 501(c)3, non profit organization! Meet the girls and their kiddos below! Velvet update: Poor little Velvet has not had any serious interest in her since she arrived here almost 3 YEARS AGO. In the beginning, she was a very difficult little pony but now, she's done a complete 180! She went from being totally feral to accepting a rider walk/trot thanks to our amazing trainer, Bree. She could be adopted as a walk/trot pony, a lead line pony or even as a companion. She's a good girl, she just gets nervous sometimes. It breaks our heart to see so many... potential adopters come to visit and then we never hear from them again. We know she's going to need a special home but it has to be out there somewhere, right? It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of one of our sweet rescues, Annie. Annie came to us several years ago, directly from the kill pen and heavily pregnant. We opened our barn and our hearts to her and even threw her a baby shower. She gave birth to a beautiful filly named Gracie. She was so proud (as you can see below) of that baby and showed her off every chance she got. She taught many lead line lessons after that and attended lots of pony parties. She was a favorite for the kids. She was an incredible mare. Annie spent her last year with her adoptive family being loved, brushed and spoiled. The best part is, she was with her Gracie again. We are heartbroken over the loss of our absolute favorite volunteer, Denise Williams. Denise, you did so much for the horses and our organization. The stormville flea market, reiki under the full moon, drum circles and donation boxes at local restaurants were just a few of the things you spearheaded for the horses. You loved them all like they were your own and they loved you so, so much. We will always remember the laughs, smiles and tears we shared over the years. We know Thunder was waiting for you at the bridge, you were the only one he liked. We love you so very much and will miss you beyond measure. Heaven gained one heck of an angel. Our deepest condolences to Denise's family and friends. She is surely irreplaceable.
