During the month of November, Lake View Cemetery will offer all veterans a 10% discount on grave purchases with full payment within twelve months, interest free. This discount applies to all grave spaces at Lake View, including Veteran's Grove and the oldest, historic portions of the cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our Hero Tour at Lake View Cemetery's Soldier Circle was rescheduled for Saturday, July 11th @ 1 pm. This tour is limited, due to... COVID concerns, to just Veterans and their guests. Hugh Golden will be our guide as he reveals the history of Soldier Circle and the Heroes whose remains lie within. They say you die twice: once when they bury you in the grave, and the second time is the last time that somebody mentions your name. Everyone has a story to tell. Our families, our ancestors, our roots.everyone’s story matters to someone. We don’t want those stories to go untold, or the people who lived them to be forgotten. The struggles and triumphs, the heartbreaks and the glorious, the mysterious and unbelievable (but true!). we are looking for the interesting back stories of the ‘residents’ forever at rest in Lake View Cemetery. Please gather those old letters, journals, newspaper articles, photographs, family heirlooms, anything and everything that tells their story and send those stories to us. The history of Jamestown and Chautauqua County is fascinating, and we are looking for a variety of historical facts that only you can provide to share in our future cemetery guided tours -- the lesser known but equally interesting lives of people who built and shaped our community. COVID - 19 UPDATE The following changes at Lake View Cemetery will be implemented beginning Monday, March 23, 2020. 1. No graveside services will be held. Cemetery staff and funeral directors only at the grave site. Immediate family (not to exceed ten) may witness from a safe distance. 2. Cemetery gates will be closed and locked at 4:00 pm daily. 3. The cemetery office will be closed to the public.... ~ PAYMENTS - Please put a check (NO cash) into the mail slot in our vestibule or mail the check to our office. Holiday Haul - Dec. 12th - 14th!

Its almost that time of year again... last year I joined up with keith martin the executive director at northwest savings bank arena for his annual "Holiday Hau...l" to benefit St. Susans Center here in jamestown. This year will be Keith's 7th year doing this and my 2nd. I decided last year I wanted to help out in anyway I could and do it in memory of my mother Kathy who had just died . Keith knew my mom well and thought the world of her. My crew raised quite a few hundred dollars towards this wonderful cause and this year I'm going even bigger. The Holiday Haul runs from Dec.12th - 14th in the Jamestown cycle shop parking lot. I'm reaching out to all my friends and businesses that I deal with to make a contribution whether it be a monetary donation or non- perishable food. Donations can be brought to our business office at 907 Lakeview ave in Jamestown or by contacting me. My crew and I are more than willing to come pick up any donations if need be.
