Powdery Mildew solutions for your Garden Phlox. If you have Garden or Tall Phlox in your garden, it’s a 99% chance that you have the fungus called powdery mildew. Here are 4 organic solutions you should have in your arsenal to keep the fungus at bay. Another solution that you can make yourself is using 1/2 tablespoons of Baking Soda to 1 gallon of water. With all fungicides used to combat the fungus, you need to spray every 7-10 days. Powdery mildew thrives during higher humi...dity and warmer temperatures so you typically see it first in mid-Summer and if left untreated gets worse through Fall, often covering all the foliage. Never water the foliage. Plants should have plenty of air circulating around them, meaning don’t plant them too close to other plants. Other plants aren’t typically affected by the fungus. Lan is at it again. This time with Astrantia Roma. It’s a perennial that flowers from Summer to Fall growing in sun to partial shade. Probably the longest flowering perennial available and they make great dried flowers too.
