We haven't been able to do any large builds out in public since March. But I can at least talk about some of them.

So apparently @cheetos have finally named the distinctive cheese dust that delightfully decorates your fingers. It’s called #cheetle ! We assume, of course, it ...is in honor of #roCHESTER based @Airigami Artistic director, Kelly Cheatle who also delightfully decorates all sorts of things. (Don’t worry about the spelling folks, we understand marketing...) So in honor of this honor, we’ve hand crafted this air-puffed balloon dog entirely out of #cheetos! #eatourdust ;) #willingtodiscussendorsement #youshouldseewhatwedidfororeo @ Rochester, New York See more

Friends of Ganondagan State Historic Site and Airigami collaborated during the Native American Winter Arts Festival at the Ganondagan Historic Site to install a... large balloon creation that visually captured the essence of the Iroquois Creation Story. The sculpture focused on Skywoman and the story of how Turtle Island came to be. See more

This Airigami installation of Neil Armstrong's left lunar boot took place at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Thousands of balloons were use...d to create the astronaut's shoe in celebration of the first human step on the moon. 50 years later, to the minute of that first step, the giant balloon boot touched down on the floor of this Smithsonian museum. Video shows the building of the boot and the lowering of it from the ceiling to the floor of the museum to simulate the first step. Design: Kelly Cheatle; Crew: Larry Moss (lead), TJ Michael, @Marsha Gallagher, Jenny Henry

I've had a blast working with John on this show that was designed for an online audience. It's not just his regular stage show with a camera pointed at him.

Some of us got a little goofy during our isolation.

Over the last few months, we've had a lot of requests to do a large build. Of course, right now any large public gatherings are off the table. We have a solutio...n: An online, streaming build, combined with basic instruction that will introduce people to the creative side of balloons. And we're going to do it tomorrow, Friday, March 27 at 2:00pm EDT. It won't really be a large build. It will be something smaller, but more involved. We're going to start at the very beginning. We'll introduce the balloon dog, and show you how those basic twists turn into a giant Airigami project. If you have balloons available, you can try stuff at home. If you don't have balloons, don't worry. We'll make the experience fun by showing examples of more elaborate sculptures. Come ready with questions and help guide the direction of this interactive, video classroom. We're developing this series on the fly, during this unusual time while we're all trapped at home. Join us and help shape the way these lessons/shows are presented. The online stream will be available tomorrow at https://www.airigami.com/online-lessons at 2:00 pm EDT (UTC -4:00).

Has #covid19 cancelled your plans for the weekend? Let’s stay in and make stuff together (but separately) HOW TO: just snap a pic of your project, (it’s not abo...ut perfection, it’s about protection, self-isolation can help slow down the spread of #covid19, so bonus) and post it to instagram with the hashtag #antisocialartshow It can be #drawings, #paintings, a clip of you playing an #instrument, a #poem maybe a favorite #recipe or a #gardening or #woodworking project only rule is, you’ve got to use supplies and tools you have on hand. We love building community and getting folks together, but we can work together to keep eachother healthy and virtually connected to slow down the impact this virus will have on our cities and towns. So be generous if you can, but definitely be kind and #washyourhands! BTW, if you make something that’s 6x6 you can snailmail it to ROCO for their annual fundraiser- http://roco6x6.org/
