She doesn’t feel it not just because it doesn’t hurt but also because babies do not have the preconceived notion of fear. Some things are meant to be and sometimes dreams do come true. Today was such a beautiful full circle. Marci my first patient I had after moving back to the US from Buenos Aires, came in for treatment. 4.5 years ago, I treated her at her home, before I even had an office and when everything I have now and created was just a dream. ... After letting go of my practice and starting over here in NY. If you told me I would have a 1500sf office treating over 400 patients a month, I wouldn’t of believed you. Marci was also one of my fertility patients and through Chinese medicine, she was able to conceive her beautiful Chinese medicine miracle baby Sawyer. I can’t tell you how many blessings are rolled into this moment. A full circle of light and joy inside the darkness. This is why I am grateful everyday. For these reminders of beauty.

I think it's important to post this and have a conversation about the covid vaccine. For me, this was not the easiest choice. I am not a huge advocate of flu shots and have the tools to treat most of the symptoms with this virus but still, I felt a strong obligation to myself, my family, my patients and my community to make this choice. I had a sore arm and some fatigue and I am now feeling 100% fine. I know many are worried about the mRNA technology but to me it's pretty am...azing how it works and no it does not affect your DNA. This is actually science that has been around for more than 20 years and this is not the first time it has been used. I do believe we need to get on board in order for this virus to stop, to protect our community and create a stepping stone of healing out of this pandemic. I believe in integrative health, in using the best tools we have from both Eastern and Western medicine and I fully support this one!

This morning one of our acupuncture VBAC babies was born. This mama had a previous csection and when we met also had placenta previa. We not only helped shift the placenta but also shifted her from an OB practice who kept telling her a VBAC was an unrealistic goal, that she was too big, her hips were too small and that if she didn’t have the baby at week 38 she would be induced to a practices of midwives who were mindful and empowered her instead! Possible pre eclampsia wa...s creeping in with elevated BP readings but we took care of that as well. This patient came once a week from week 30 on and then 3-4 times a week from week 38 on and her unrealistic VBAC became very much something that was real and happened this morning! How it works ? Acupuncture helps ripen and soften the cervix while helping with dilation and closer to labor, helps bring on more efficient contractions. She graduated from Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine in China in 2010 and earned her bachelor de...gree of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
