FF Lloyd lost his life after being trapped in a building collapse at a massive fire at an assisted living facility in Spring Valley, NY. This is what a true hero looks like. Early this morning the Inwood Fire Dept., FDNY units, and Inwood mutual aid companies operated on the scene of an on the border working fire. Upon arrival firef...ighters were met with fire showing from a one-story private dwelling which ended up being just inside of the Inwood fire district. GENERAL ALARM, HOUSE FIRE at 240 UNION ST, NORTH LAWRENCE c/s: PACIFIC AVE and SPRING ST . . 14:06:53. On 12/4/2020 LCFD responded to 240 Union st for a report of a house fire. Upon arrival, a fire on the exterior of the house was confirmed. LCFD crews along with fire departments from Inwood, Hewlett, Long Beach and Woodmere were able to make an aggressive stop of the fire preventing significant spread to the interior of the house.
