A Blood Test For Alzheimer’s: A company called C2N diagnostics has come up with a novel technique for the identification of amyloid plaques.... The test, called PrecivityAD, has proven immensely accurate and is a cheaper alternative to expensive tests such as PET scans. Medical Psychedelics: A groundbreaking study that appeared in the journal Nature Medicine has shown that MDMA (popularly known as ecstasy) has produced significant improvement in individuals suffering from PTSD. Over 67% of the patients in the trial did not qualify for a PTSD diagnosis after being prescribed medical MDMA and talk therapy for a period of two months. Testing Fertility is Easy Now: The OOVA Kit, created by OOVA Inc. has provided a simple and cost-effective method to test fertility. The kit tracks levels of two essential fertility hormones - the luteinizing hormone and progesterone, using a urine sample. New Drug for the Obesity Challenge: Higher doses of semaglutide - a synthetic hormone to suppress appetite, also used in the treatment of type-2 diabetes, were studied in individuals trying to lose weight. WiIth even President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump testing positive for COVID-19, the seven-day average for new cases in the USA has jumped by 13%. WHO leaders are aiming to issue 2 billion vaccine doses through COVAX by the end of 2021, which would vaccinate around 25.6% of the world's 7.8 billion population, under a single dose regimen. While the fall of 2021 seems like the current prediction for vaccines, only time will tell how effective these are.
