Tonight we close out EMS week. This week has been a week to celebrate the selfless acts of those that drop everything to help anyone. EMS providers are a unique group that I am beyond proud to be associated with. For those that don’t know an EMS provider I encourage you all to stop at LCSR or your local fire department and meet them, you see them at different events please stop by and get to know them I promise you will not be disappointed. You will meet the most caring and c...ompassionate people, those that care endlessly for others. I would like to send my appreciation and gratitude to all of those that reached out to us this week and helped us celebrate. To the Lewis County Sheriffs Office who brought us the snack basket, cookies, and beautiful painting I would like not only to say Thank You but also send a debt of gratitude for all you do! To Donna Farney Hlad thank you for the cookies our providers loved them, to the Lewis County Health System Hospital Foundation thank you so much for the cookie basket, to our nurses and staff at the ER your kind words and goodies were so very heart warming, and to the LCSR Auxiliary you made our week so very special. Thank you for supporting and caring for those that put the boots to the pavement and sacrifice everything for others. We as an agency are blessed to have you all and we greatly appreciate all the kind words and gifts. If I missed anyone that helped us celebrate this momentous week please tag them in the comments as I truly appreciate everyone and want to make sure they are recognized. From the bottom of my heart I Thank You all for being part of our week! Chief

We at Lewis County Search and Rescue have the distinct privilege to work with some of the finest our county has to offer. Our volunteer counterparts give their free time selflessly to help their communities and we are honored to support and work side by side with them. Today we thank Beaver Falls for all they do and for allowing us to be a part of their community service. #thankyou #welovewhatwedo #savinglivestogether

On behalf of the entire agency we would like to graciously thank all those that took time out of their day to make something for our crews today! A heart felt thank you to Tina Tuttle and Ashley Martinez Oakes for putting together our family Christmas meal! To the thoughtful people from our community who brought cookies, veggie trays, pies, and other canned items we appreciate you. Support from the community is above and beyond appreciated. To my crews who selflessly gave up their Christmas to protect your community, my hats off to you for you inspire me daily! I pray you all had a Merry Christmas and again I thank you all for making our great agency what it is!

Lewis County Search and Rescue would like the thank the Pratt Northam Foundation for their generous funding for our purchase of a Zoll Ventilator. LCSR has a team of highly trained specialty care Paramedics who currently utilize the hospitals ventilator to transport critically ill patients to tertiary care centers at hospitals far away, so that these people can access care not available locally. With this funding, LCSR will now have its own ventilator to use on these transports, thereby leaving more equipment at the local hospitals to care for the greater good. More news to come as we receive this ventilator and have an agency wide training day utilizing it!
