I am beyond excited to announce the launch of WE, WOMEN - the largest social impact photo-based project by women, transgender, and non-binary artists currently ...underway in the US. . For nearly two years, I've been working with Amy Yenkin, Danielle Villasana, Daniella Zalcman, Laura Roumanos & Rina Malonzo, to create this project. It launches today with an Open Call for artists PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. . Through a radical transformation of image-makingwith the goal of contributing to lasting changeWe, Women believes we can revolutionize how we see our world and ultimately, ourselves. . We're looking for photo-based projects that redefine how we understand and respond to urgent issues in the United States today. We, Women is not just a grant. It’s an opportunity to shape a national conversation about how to find common ground on divisive issues through photography and community engagement. . @united_photo Industries and @womenphotograph are our presenting organizations, and we are so grateful of the support of our partners: @opensocietyfoundations @magnumfoundation, @forfreedoms, @mfonfoto Women Photographers of the African Diaspora, @theeverydayprojects, @authoritycollective, @diversifyphoto, and @ntvsphotograph . Thanks to our incredible advisory committee, which includes Julian Brave Noise Cat, @veronicasanchis, @quitorious, @susanmeiselas @debbialmontaser @KristinaNewman-Scott @jovanspeller, @ericgottesman, Dee Davis, and Gerdie Collado. . Also this would not be possible without our phenomenal founding artists @sol_aramendi_vinylsun, @Ashley Teamer, @annie Flanagan, Tonika Lewis Johnson @kameelahr, and @karenmirandarivadeneira Rivadeneira . Can't wait to see the rich conversations created through We, Women artistsapplications due June 30! www.wewomenphoto.com

Many organizations across the Southeast, many led by women of color, have been fighting against reproductive restrictions for a long time and are on the front lines of pushing back the latest attempts to ban abortions. Support any/all of these organizations. And remember, these restrictions aim to provoke legal challenges that ultimately elevate the issue to the Supreme Court, so it is critical to bolster legal support to keep abortion legal and safe. ARC - Southeast works w...ith people in 12 Southern states to fund and support women who are traveling to Atlanta for abortion services. They work to promote reproductive access and care throughout the southeast.
