Today we received some very needed and very much appreciated donations from two local distilleries.. These donations will be used in both the Livingston station and our Elizaville station. Our sincere thanks to Olde York Farm Distillery for the donation of their Cooper’s Daughter Hand Sanitizer and also to Hudson Valley Distillers for their alcohol antiseptic. These local businesses have stepped up in these tough times for all of our local first responders. They are helping keep us safe so we can continue to help keep you safe. Its It was a long, cold 15 hours for many volunteers last night who came together and helped us get this job done. A big thank you to the following companies: Clermont, Germantown, Greenport, Churchtown, Taghkanic, Ancram, Claverack, West Ghent, Mellenville, Ghent, Niverville, Red Hook, Milan and Tivoli. Also on scene were NDP EMS, and CCEMS Units from Greenport Rescue and Community Rescue. Additionally we were assisted by the NYSP, CC Fire Coordinators Office, NYS OFPC, CC Cause and Origin Team and State and County Highway who sanded the roads from all that ice. Thank you again to everyone who helped us. And also a special Thank you to the Blue Stores Xtra Mart who stayed open all night and made sure everyone had a warm place to go inside and to get a hot cup of coffee..
