HISTORIC GENESEO: Fifty years ago at the time of the county’s sesquicentennial, the design elements which now make up Livingston County’s official flag were carefully considered.

Those rapid COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites throughout the GLOW region are attracting a large number of users. More are planned in the coming weeks.

A Long Island man as well as two additional upstate Saratoga Springs residents have been infected with the highly contagious UK COVID-19 strain, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. That brings the total number infected in the state to four.

UPDATE/BREAKING: WNY Congressman Chris Jacobs (R-27) voted against the impeachment of President Trump for the second time, stating that our nation has "significant challenges which we still need to address - including the on-going COVID-19 crisis."

Legislation signed into law will allow local BOCES programs like the Genesee Valley BOCES to create young farmer apprentice programs. The measure is designed in part to create awareness of the need of bringing younger people into the agricultural workforce in NYS where the average age of farm operators is 59.

BREAKING: The U.S. House of Representatives has voted 232-197 to impeach President Donald Trump for the second time. 10 Republicans joined the Democratic majority in the vote to impeach. It's uncertain when the House vote will be sent to the U.S. Senate for deliberations on the charge of incitement of insurrection.

LATEST: Six additional deaths are reported in the GLOW region due to COVID or COVID related illnesses. On Tuesday, the number of new recoveries outpaced the new confirmed cases of COVID-19 by 142 to 85. In Livingston County, the ratio of recoveries to new positives was 4-to-1.

LATEST: In addition to the health alert issued regarding a wedding 10 days ago in Clarendon, the GLOW region recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and reported 16 recoveries.

LATEST: A health alert has been issued for anyone who attended a wedding in Clarendon on Saturday, October 17 for possible exposure to COVID-19. The Genesee/Orleans County Health Department says some attendees have already been placed under quarantine or isolation.

Jill Gould, the founder of Perry's butter meat co., is one of ten finalists in a nationwide Farm Bureau competition for a $50,000 award. The annual award focuses on startup businesses which are providing innovative solutions to farming and rural communities.
