The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 05.11.2020

We wanted to share some inspiring words from our Disney teammate Joel Kaufman: "Its never about the medals. Its really not about the races. Its all about fighting blood cancer and making the world a better place for those now and into the future. There is sadness as we looked forward to joining together and celebrating our spirit and fighting cancer together. But there will be future events where we run together and many sunny days ahead.... We will run separately and continue to fight leukemia, lymphoma and all blood cancers together." There is still time to sign up for our magical virtual Disney race to help put an end to blood cancer. Register at https://bit.ly/NYCWDW by November 8th.

Greg and Leticia Polius carry gold lanterns on Walk night in memory of their 10-month-old daughter, Kayden DC Polius. Kayden was diagnosed with leukemia in November 2016 and shortly went to heaven a week later in December of 2016. She had a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as JMML. Kayden’s death is something we struggle to understand every day. As we continue to heal, we are finding different outlets to carry on her name and also help other children suffering from this disease. By participating in Light The Night, you can help children like Kayden.
