Jane Goodall is known as the worlds foremost expert on chimpanzees. She earned this title through her 60 year study of social and family interactions between wild chimpanzees in Tanzania. In addition to studying chimps, Jane has worked hard on conservation and animal welfare issues. Fun Fact: Jane is one of the very few people who received a PhD without first receiving an undergraduate degree. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInSTEM #STEMEducation

Maryam Mirzakhani was an Iranian mathematician known for her work in hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory, and symplectic geometry. Her incredible work earned her a Fields Medal, the most prestigious award in mathematics. She was the first Iranian to receive the honor, as well as the first, and so far the only, woman. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInSTEM #STEMEducation
