November 2 2020 Monthly bonus "Here's What You Should Be Doing Now" client-only workshop Good morning... Before the world turns upside down tomorrow Pearl and I are doing our November, client-only bonus workshop, "Here's What You Should Be Doing Now" workshop on our private Facebook group. We'll cover a few of the usual suspect, but timely topics, such as: Financial Aid: what happens before and AFTER you file FAFSA glitch Essays, applications and demonstrating interest HOWEVER.... We're going to depart from the usual topics to get into what I call "Confessions of a College Advisor." Each year, Pearl and I witness some oddball, self-defeating behavior by our clients and this year was no different. Actually, there's a case that this year was worse (I had to fire three clients over a five day period last week). But we're not going to dwell on their behavior in this workshop, rather, we're doing to talk about it the general context of the dark underbelly of college admissions, today. See ya, -Andy

As November approaches each year, I get into it with my clients, and this election season won't be different. The question on the table: "Where to ED." In other words, which college should you use your Early Decision "chit." ... It's a big decision, full of strategic implications and misinformation. I'll be discussing this highly contested topic with Pearl this morning on College Coffee Talk - 10am - and recorded, all right here! Chris Wallace will not be in attendance.
