Locust Valley Cemetery 13.02.2021

We’re deep in winter now. The cold days may seem hard. The dark days may seem never-ending. But there’s one thing we need to remember; that winter won’t last forever. Winter is only one season out of four. We just need to take each day as it comes. Soon the snow will melt and spring will be here. And the Summer and then Autumn. You see, each season has its time and only lasts for a while. There are times of sorrow in life and there are times of great joy. Take each season as it comes.

Losing someone you love doesn’t mean that you must learn to live without them. Life must go on and you must live on with the love they have left behind. Life will never be the same again. Remember the love you shared and be thankful that you were fortunate enough to have them in your life. There’s nothing more precious than the moments you shared and the memories you created. You may not hear their voice or feel the touch of their hands, but your heart will continue to feel their love. That ache in your heart is really the love you have for them. The ache may never end, but it will change. It is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of love. https://www.lvcemetery.com/

There are some people in this life whose light shines so bright that it is not extinguished even in death. Their light is so great that it remains even after they are gone. And even though it seems hard to go on living without them, it is only right that we honor their memories with our lives. Be those things that you loved the most about the person you loved. Live your life with the love they have left behind. Look up and smile. Because through you, their legacy will continue to live. Through you, they can touch more people’s lives with their bright light. Through you, their love can continue to change the world. Through you, others can be more like your loved one.

Veterans Day is a good time to remember that our freedom isn’t guaranteed. It’s protected by the men and women in our Armed Services. To those who secure our way of life thank you! https://bit.ly/36llnUj #HappyVeteransDay

Life is full of suffering. But it is also full of the ingredients we need to overcome suffering. Every now and then, we face storms in our lives that threaten to destroy everything. While it is tempting to cower in a corner and wait out the storm, we know that this isn’t what life is about. Life is about learning to get up and dance in the rain. It is about refusing to stay down after a fall. It is about rising up, allowing ourselves to heal and overcoming the suffering. Don’t let your head hang too long. Look up and appreciate where you are in life’s journey. Life may not be offering you what you want, but every season serves its purpose. Even the toughest ones. https://bit.ly/36llnUj

The seasons are changing. The sounds of cicadas and the laughter of children playing in the heat of the day are gone. Autumn is here and leaves are turning orange and gold. Soon winter will be here and the trees will be bare. The spring will come around and new leaves will sprout from the branches. The seasons of the weather are ever-changing and so are the seasons of life. We are born. We learn to crawl and then to walk. In the blink of an eye, we are married and have children of our own. The life we knew when we were children is not the same as the life we know now as adults. The seasons have changed. We’ve been through good and bad times and none lasts forever. Even this season we are in today will soon pass. https://bit.ly/36llnUj
