LIA is happy to introduce the 15th plane (and 5th Piper Archer) to the growing fleet. N587MA is a 2002 Archer III with a new factory overhauled engine and is equipped with dual G430's with WAAS. This plane is on the schedule and ready to be rented.

Off to Jacksonville with Eddy to pick up another Archer for our LIA customers. That will make it plane# 15! Hopefully this will open up the schedule even more.

As many of you may or may not know, Long Island Aviators has a Redbird LD, AATD Simulator. This simulator can be used to satisfy ALL of your IFR currency requirements without ever having to get into an airplane. If you are still within your one year of being current, or just want to brush up on your entries, holds, intercepts, tracking or approaches and become a current AND PROFICIENT IFR pilot, spend some time with one of our CFII's to gain the experience, knowledge and ...feeling of safety and satisfaction that you can handle an instrument flight. If you need an IPC, we can accommodate MOST of your training in the simulator without any distractions. The only maneuver that you will have to get into the airplane to fly (after practicing on the simulator) is the circle to land approach. The cost for the LD G1000 simulator is $65/hour as opposed to spending $179/hour for a G1000 C172. You can train in the simulator in ANY weather without ANY distractions (ATC, traffic, mechanical, etc.) at ANYtime.
