DJ CHEF"s Meatball Remix. Everyone loves traditional Meatballs & Spaghetti! To make it health conscious DJ CHEF nixes the traditional beef, pork & sausage meatball for organic lean 85% 15% beef & Ronzoni's heart healthy whole wheat spaghetti & share his one pot method that resembles a hearty ragu. Ingredients: 2/3's box Ronzoni Whole Wheat Spaghetti, (boiled & strained) ... 1/2 cup of olive oil 1 medium onion diced 6 cloves of garlic, rough chopped 1 pound 85%/15% organic beef (trader joes) 1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs 1 egg 2T Garlic Powder 2T Paprika 2T Sea Salt 1T Black pepper 1/2T Italian seasoning 16oz Marinara sauce 2 basil leafs (chifinade) Parmesian cheese (to taste) Procedure; Heat large skillet on the stove on medium heat. Add oil & start to saute onions & garlic. Combine meat, egg, bread crumbs & seasonings in a mixing bowl & roll the meatballs adding to the pan with onions & garlic. Brown 1 side then brown the other side. Add Marinara and simmer until the meatballs are cooked through. Serve meatballs & sauce over spaghetti & top with basil & parmesian cheese.
