Join Lumber City Church for the Neighborliness Sermon Series every Sunday from now until November 22nd at 10am at The Hope Center, 383 Vandervoort St. in North Tonawanda The world is changing all around us. Issues that have classically created dividing lines between people sometimes without us even knowing it have risen not just to the top of the headlines, but to the surface of the hearts of people that want to be part of creating real change in our world. Race, ethnicity, s...kin color and socio-economic differences have created those lines. Those lines are not created by God. The book Neighborliness by my friend David Docusen takes these issues head on, and shows us the way we can see the beauty of God across these dividing lines and our place in God’s Kingdom to be part of showing the world how we are all made in His image and that the only real way to express His glory is together as one. Together with our Neighbors. Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandment is to love God with everything you’ve got, and the second is just as important. Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. Our goal in this series is to learn how to be great at the greatest commandment. The series starts October 11th and runs through November 15th when we will take on the mission of delivering hundreds of meals to our neighbors in need. Each week we will be mirroring the Lumber City Kids Church lesson to equip you to have conversations about what it means to practice Neighborliness and how you and your family can see the beauty of God across dividing lines.
