Happy Thanksgiving to all our Soccer families Looking forward to seeing you on the fields next season.

Thank you to all of our families for being a part of ours this season. We know it was difficult for all of us greeting back into our normal routines after COVID, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. And a big shout out to all the first time coaches that stepped up when the call went out. You helped be a part of every single one of these players lives, more than you know. In the off-season, we'll review everything and see what we did well, and what we can improve on.... Just know, that we're always trying to make this experience of soccer better for everyone, and to flame the passions of these young athletes. We might not get everything right, but we never settle for complacency, and will always try. Registration for 2022 season will open May 1st as in years prior. And please, we would love to have any interested parent help out. Whether it be coaching, team parent, or even on the board that helps shape policies; if you're willing to step up to make a difference, we'd love to have you. Thanks again to all of our amazing families! It was great to see everyone back on the grass!

Hello families, We find ourselves almost at the end the 2021 season, and that means one thing...PLAYOFFS! Attached you will find the schedule for all competitive divisions. All teams except for the Major division, have been seeded based on their Team Number. Major teams will be seeded based on their regular season W/L record.... We've done our best to balance things out the best we can based on school activities, field availability, and to maximize our ability to schedule officials, as such, we appreicate your patience and understanding. A summation of rules for the Playoffs will be sent out to all teams over the weekend. Thank you, Lake View Athletics

A hot & humid night of Lake View Soccer. Thanks to all the coaches & parents that stepped up to make sure the kids had everything they needed to beat the heat.

Our 2021 Lake View Soccer Camp summer was a huge success! From August 3rd-5th, the Lake View Soccer Camp, led by our Director of Coaching Mike Chieffo, hosted over 80 boys and girls ages 7-15! Coach Chieffo decided to do something different for our camp this year. He decided to make this camp free for all the boys and girls to participate in. In lieu of a camp registration fee, Coach Chieffo asked families that were willing and able, to bring in a monetary donation where 100%... of the proceeds would go directly to the Luca S. Calanni Foundation to honor Luca Calanni who was a member of Lake View Soccer. Because of the generosity of those that donated, the Lake View Soccer Camp was able to raise $2268 for the Luca S. Calanni Foundation. A special thanks to the Hamburg High School Boys Varsity Soccer team for helping coach the boys and girls and for making this week a successful one. Thank you to everyone for their support and generosity. We look forward to next year!

We had an amazing first day at our Lake View Soccer Camp today! Over 80 kids learning new soccer skills, playing games, & meeting new friends. Today our focus was on footwork & dribbling. Tomorrow our focus will be on passing & receiving. Great job by all the kids & coaches!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, PREPARE TO BE AMAZED! Lake View Soccer is finalizing plans on having the 2021 Soccer season! With a slew of new challenges the league has never faced before, we are hard at work at making sure players have as much fun as in years past, and in the safest manner we can. Finishing touches are still being ironed, but as always, we will strive to keep our families well informed.... Online Registration will kick off May 1st as usual, and will run through June 1st. To ensure we have enough time for all the extra precautions and equipment ordered in time for the season, we will NOT be accepting LATE registrations. If you need financial assistance, we have scholarships to help offset costs, please feel free to ask about them. We know that many of you may have questions, but we ask for your patience in allowing us to finish our plan first before asking them. We look forward to seeing all of our families back on the fields this summer!

Hello to everyone on this frozen Friday! It's been a long... Long... LONG time since we saw everyone at the soccer fields. You'll be happy to know that we just had our first meeting of the year, to start the preliminary planning stages for the 2021 season. Now we have a long way to go from where we are now, to having a season. Besides our own safety measures, we also need to follow the county, state, NYSWYSA and US Soccer guidelines for a return to play. We'll be hard at ...work planning the season, and doing all we can to make it happen. We know it hasn't been the easiest time for many out there, but we just want to remind everyone of our scholarship to help offset some of the costs for those that may need it. As always, we want to do all we can to get every kid on the fields. If we get the all clear from everyone, we anticipate our normal registration time to start on May 1st-June 1st. Besides the adjustments we have to make pertaining to COVID safety, I'm happy to announce our new board: President - Joe Schaus Vice President - Bill Trask Treasurer - Jenn Szustakowski Secretary - Amy Jones It's been a privilege to serve our families over the last 5 years. Watching our players develop over the years has been a great source of happiness. That being said, I want to spend a little more time with my kiddos on the field before they get too old. The leadership team in place now, will do great things, of that I am sure. I consider myself very lucky to hand the reins off to such an amazing board. To help with the transition, I will still be on the board to offer any assistance I can (thankfully in a more relaxed role ). Parents, It is with a heavy heart that I write you today to inform you that we have decided to cancel our 2020 soccer season. With most other sports being cancelled already, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead in the fall, we felt it best to give families ample time in preparing for this decision. We typically run a very tight schedule in the best of times, but with only the guidance of a possible ability to open during Phase 4; all the logistics of attempting to carry ...out a regular season are near impossible. Uniforms alone typically take 4-5 weeks in our regular years, and with the supply chain running the way it is, there was a real possibility that we would not have uniforms until the end of August/beginning of September. Couple that with a third of our families stating that they would not be registering this season, as well as good portion of our coaches, and added costs and difficulty in obtaining the necessary PPE. We would love to have given our players and families some sense of normalcy during these difficult times; but from a safety, logistical and legal standing we feel it best to not play a season. Happy 2021 to all our Lakeview soccer players and families. I am the new President voted in by the Lakeview Soccer Board at the end of 2020. I am replacing Shaun Keen who has lead our board for as long as I have been a member for approx 5 years. I am so thankful that Shaun will be staying on as a board member and I want to thank him on this forum for his continued support! The Lakeview Soccer board will be voting on our season very soon! Families, We hope everyone is doing well during these difficult times. We would like to let everyone know that as of this time, we are postponing registration. Typically, our registration runs from May 1st through June 1st, but with all of the uncertainty that lies before us has forced us to make changes. The board will convene over a video conference towards the middle of the month to reevaluate how/if we can proceed with the 2020 season. Between now and then, we will c...ontinue to monitor town, county, state and federal guidelines as well as taking into consideration the local school districts plan of action and advice from New York State West Youth Soccer Association. Our primary focus has been and will always be player safety. And we will only proceed with a season if we feel can do so in a safe manner.
