That time of the year! These are the best 9 postings from 2020. Themes I see you prefer are improvements we made, landscape pictures, and the best theme is supporting local businesses, and women owned businesses to boot! Shout out to Theresa @tandjsoap who makes our wonderful soaps and bath bombs, they smell intoxicating; Jessica @homegoodsofmargaretville whose store has evolved into a great go to place for all things kitchen, including condiments to yummy meats; and Nicole ...@catskillsharvest which has worked crazy hard to gather the best local farm ingredients so our guests can make a kick ass meal. We have so many talented people in our neck of the woods, so happy to support them and their endeavors! I do believe 2021 will be one that will bring more talent to the Great Western Catskills. From our cabin and barn on the hill in one of most beautiful valleys in the Catskills to you and yours, thank you for loving us and the local gang of entrepreneurs! #girlsrule See more

A superhost’s job is never done! We have so much to do in the next year. This year was definitely an exceptional year, and next year will probably be too, but hey we still have work to do. Taking down diseased trees, planting native trees, rebuilding stone walls, and some fun stuff will be coming in 2021. But the year is not over and we have some interior and exterior upgrades coming soon. So if you see me on the green machine, say hello! Onwards and upwards! #staypositive

Happy Tuesday! Never too soon to talk about skiing. Yesterday the state advised that Ski resorts can reopen with 50 percent indoor capacity and with strict health and safety protocols under state-issued guidance starting Friday, November 6. Hopefully its a great season to get out and ski/snowboard/sled/snowshoe. To book our cabin, note we decided to switch our vacation booking platform. We are sticking to a two week minimum unless you have booked already and I agreed to less days. As for what 2021 holds, have no clue, but will stick to our to do list and welcome our guests with an air hug. We are so grateful to our guests who have put their trust in us this year.

Yes this year sucked, however I have so much gratitude for what I learned this year. When you are forced to step back, you have time to assess. The virus forced us to close the barn to events, dinners, everything. I needed to make sure to protect myself and most of all my parents. Couldn’t take any chances. However the cabin has been a refuge for many guests. New and repeat guests, new guests have already become repeat guests. I’m grateful to them as they have been so beyond ...appreciative! As I asses their needs, the cabin just gets better. Next coming months I’ll be putting in a new cooktop, lights, upgrade one bathroom, paint, some construction, etc... Little over 3 months until this year is over, so let’s be grateful for all the lessons we learned. Thank you to all who helped me this year, neighbors, friends, guests, hubby, and more! Let’s end this year on a high note! #lessonslearned #refuge #sanctuary #escape #travel #amenities #cabinlife #mountains #catskillmountains #mountainsarecalling #catskills #catskillmountains #airbnb #superhost See more
