Dean Dixson’s Raku creations are the result of a process by which pottery is fired at a relatively low temperature and then moved while hot to a closed container with combustible materials (such as paper or sawdust) that ignite and cause a reaction creating the colors and patterns in the pottery's surface. Stop in to see more of Dean’s pottery.

Today’s Featured Artist in our 18 days of Christmas is Mary Ellen Whitmore. Mary started her stained glass journey with a BOCES adult education class. She says working with glass is fascinating for her as the designs may all be the same but different glass textures and colors make each piece individual creations. Mary Ellen feels that stained glass can inspire the imagination and can create peace of the spirit. Holiday fabric stars are another example of Mary’s creative talents. Stop in to see the variety of her perfect handmade gifts.

We are open today, Sunday, from noon to 4 if you want to stop in and see Deans work first hand. He has so a wide variety of pottery to choose from. Enjoy!
