There’s no surprise here that 8/9 are my wedding! That was this year?! It’s wild thinking back to February last year! There have definitely been some glimmers of wonderful this year, so that’s what I’m going to remember. Being married has been pretty amazing, guys. I can’t think of anyone else I would rather be quarantined with than Michael and London. Sending light and love to you all on this New Year’s Day!

Oh boy. I’ve been dreading this day for months now. . . My right hand, @joyscribner and her family have moved to Nashville, TN. This girl has been my rock for the last 5 years. I had no idea how close we would become or how much she would mean to me back when we first met. .... . As a business owner, it’s rare to find someone who will stand by you through thick and thin. Joy taught me so much about how to be a good, compassionate and patient leader and teacher. All the while we laughed. We were always laughing! . . Her fierce dedication to her craft and our clients often kept her up at night. Her warm, approachable demeanor and incredible sense of humor is why so many of our brides will miss her. . . I will miss her for those reasons and more. Our friendship was so easy. Making a new best friend in your 30’s is also pretty rare, I think - but we just clicked. She put up with me and all of my ticks and kept me on the straight and narrow. We thought that we would be sewing together as little old ladies, and though that won’t be the case, I’m still so thankful to have found a forever friend in her. . . Joy - thank you.
