DID YOU KNOW? In NYS when you see a vehicle approaching with a BLUE or GREEN Flashing Light in your rear-view mirror it is a VOLUNTEER Firefighter or EMT responding to either a Fire or Ambulance Call. These personnel need to get to the firehouse/EMS station or to the scene as quickly as possible to render the service needed in a timely fashion. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS and when safe to do so, PULL OVER, STOP and LET THEM PASS. Someone is depending on their help and sometimes sec...onds really do count. Thank you!! Image and words were used from Stony Point Police Department. #emergencyservices #emt #firefighter #firstresponders #volunteer #nys #moveover #courtesy
2019 Open house. We had such a great time with the community members to come take a look at our facility. Hope we get a chance to do an Open House in 2021. We love to see our community’s smiling faces, even if it is under a mask. Stay safe out there. #openhouse #firecompany #firefighter #firstresponders #community #emergencyservices #malta #maltany

Every Wednesday we have drill (training). We have different topics that we hit so that we may become better firefighters for our community and our neighbors to keep them safe. Want to become part of something that serves to protect our community?! Send us a message or share this with someone that would be interested.... Thank you for your support. #firefighter #firefighters #emergencyservices #join #brotherhood #volunteer #malta #maltany #community #serveothers
Oh yes we did! When there is no way out and you have to jump out of the 2nd Story building... this is how you do it. We train all year round for emergency situations so we are ready and prepared to the best of our abilities. Our Chief is leading by example by being the first one up to show proper procedures on how it’s done.... How do you think he did?! Stay safe out there. If interested in becoming a volunteer fireman shoot us a message or comment below. Get ready Malta...Santa is back again. He about to leave. Listen for our sirens and music!
A night at our weekly drill(training) a few years back. After every drill there is a debriefing about training. There is always room to grow and no matter how many times we train there can always be a dynamic/new element added to it. We train for the worst case scenario so that we build the strength needed for our community. #firefighter #volunteerfirefighter #fire #drill #training #firstresponders #maltaridgefiredept #malta #maltany #community
THEY ARE HERE! Our department ordered new helmets for our fire fighters (New and Old). With the numerous amounts of calls and training that we do our gear gets beat up pretty badly. Our Chief makes sure that everyone has proper gear and PPE so they will be ready for any situation. This is to keep us as protected as possible so that we can do our job to our fullest capacity.... He is double checking the helmets and making sure they pass his qualifications for safety and function. Side note: Thank you to our community for supporting us so that we may better serve them. Please help spread the word by following us on social media. #firefighter #helmet #helmets #new #firecompany #maltany #protection #protectivegear #safety #ppe #firstresponders #firstresponder #community #support

The toys are coming in! Thank you MALTA RIDGE VOL FIRE AUXILIARY for your donations. The kids will love them.
We will be participating in the 2020 Convoy for Tots again this year. The Convoy will be on November 8th with the same route as in previous years; Ballston Spa High School up Route 50 to SPAC. With all the tragedy happening in 2020, we hope you will help us be the joy in a child's life this holiday season by donating a new (still in it's own packaging), unwrapped toy. You can drop off a new (still in it's own packaging), unwrapped toy... to the main station at 5 Hearn Road, Monday - Friday between 8am-4pm. Or call 518-584-6155 to schedule a drop off time. Thank you for your support!
We would like to send our condolences to our brothers and sisters at the Round Lake, NY Fire Department and the Fitch family.
Yesterday, N. Keith Stewart - State Farm Agent, stopped by the shared station to drop off some fire prevention material to help us kick off Fire Prevention week. Thanks Keith! We appreciate your support and the kids will love the coloring books.
Wednesday night we conducted a drill with our mutual aid department, Round Lake, NY Fire Department . Water supply with tanker operations, drop tank operations and tower operations were completed. Thanks RLFD! A great night of training!
Did you know... The pontoon boat we have now was received back in 1996? She has provided excellent service over the last 24 years and is being retired. The new boat has arrived and tested...we think you will like it.
Tonight we flew this country’s flag with our mutual aid department, Round Lake, NY Fire Department in remembrance of 9/11. Thank you Albany-Saratoga speedway for always honoring those who have fallen.
Remembering all that were lost 19 years ago today. We never forget. Stay safe!
Did you know? There is a mutual aid agreement between MRVFC and RLFD that allows members to participate in the other department's weekly drills. Last Thursday, our mutual aid department, Round Lake, NY Fire Department conducted a vehicle extrication drill and a member from MRVFC attended. Training together allows us the opportunity to learn how to work together to protect the Town of Malta from any emergencies that arise. (PC: Capt. Flynn, RLFD & SO Parker, RLFD)
