Long Island Greenbelt hikers. For the white blazed trail from Sunken Meadow to Heckscher... If you love our trail, want to keep it in good condition, consider helping us as a trail maintainer. The labor involves pruning branches, occasional litter pickup (it’s beyond us why people can’t carry out their empty water bottles), checking for missing blazes and reporting larger problems. The more eyes we have in the woods, the better. Whatever help you can give is always welcome. You can latch on to one of our weekday groups, you can roam on your own, or you can adopt a favorite section of trail. When and how often you help is your call. After all, you’re a volunteer! Peconic Pathfinders Fall Meeting
