Good afternoon, This morning I was notified of a positive COVID-19 test result on one of our employees. This test was conducted during our routine testing in which our employees are tested weekly. I have been in contact with the NYSDOH as well as the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department. The employee has been furloughed and will quarantine for the appropriate amount of time. There are no staff or residents that fit the criteria for direct exposure to the employe...e. Beginning tomorrow (Monday), we will begin testing all residents to identify any potential positive cases. We currently do not have any residents symptomatic for COVID-19. Effective immediately, all limited in person visitation has been suspended for 14 days. I will provide an update should any more cases be identified through our testing process. Thank you all for your ongoing support during this uncertain time. Please stay safe. Ike Bogosian, LNHA Administrator

Thank you to the Massena Electric Department for your work in restoring the power to our home and to Massena this evening as quickly as you did, we appreciate the great service you provide to our community! Our Residents and Staff were kept safe and comfortable as we operated on generator power.

Please be reminded that we will still offer window visits, FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom sessions in addition to our structured limited visitation. The window visits and electronic forms of communication do not require a negative COVID-19 test and are available 7 days a week. Please contact the Activities Department (315)769-2494 to schedule a session!

I am very excited to announce that we will be beginning Structured Limited Visitation at our home. The NYSDOH has very specific criteria a Nursing Home must meet to allow visitation and all of the guidelines and regulations must be followed by the facility and more importantly by the Visitor. Please see the attached guidelines of what to expect when you schedule a visitation session. While it is not what visitation used to be prior to COVID, it is a step in the right direc...tion; one that is safe. Every aspect of our visitation policy has followed the criteria set forth by the NYSDOH. While you may not agree with all of it, please be positive and know that if the criteria for visitation eases up, we will follow suit. I will be upholding a zero tolerance policy for violating the rules and expectations for visitation, please be patient with us as we work through this while keeping our Residents and Staff safe.
