As a precaution, with the rising cases of CV-19 in our county we have decided to remain closed through the new year and reopen for what will be a much needed Thursday Wing Day on January 7th! Looking back at 2020 and honestly... I smile.... We have so much to be proud of! The bobbing, weaving, and pivoting we’ve done is truly amazing! I grabbed some pictures that could capture just some of the year’s moments in time to share. We started off 2020 with our awesome fishing tournament on the mayfield lake with over 100 participants, we coasted on with live music and all kinds of crowded fun into March, on March 14th we had the best snow volleyball tournament ever w...ith 9 teams of 6 plus players participating! On March 16th...inside to shut down by 8pm cancelling both the dart and pitch leagues that were about halfway through their season...oh well The governor said takeout food is ok, so we did it! Then...The governor said takeout and delivery of alcoholic beverages is ok, so we did it! Then...The governor said outdoor dining is ok, so we did it! Then...the governor said incidental music is ok, so we did it! Then...the governor said you can dine in, at 50 percent capacity, with groups no larger than 10, 6 feet apart, serving food with alcohol orders, wearing a mask and standing on one foot! (Just kidding on the one foot but it felt like it! Lol), so we did it! We did it all this year! We got all jarred up, we made lemonade out of lemons, we made desserts, we suited up the backyard with tables and umbrellas and then even lights for them! We even made some updates and improvements inside in between. We all worked and we worked hard! And how great that our high school age staff were able to be part of the team, get some work experience, and make money every week?! I’m sure I left out so many things but as I reflect on the year behind us, as much as we struggled, we embraced the challenge and I’m very proud! I am grateful for all of the staff members that were with us this year during any part of it, I’m grateful for this community for the constant support, I’m grateful for my family and close friends for always pitching in to get the job done and for putting up with me and all of my crazy ideas, I’m grateful to my friends with small businesses that shared experiences, gave advice, and even lent some physical helping hands to help us carry on. Anyway we’re happy to be on pause for another week and get ready for 2021! Happy New Year Everyone! See you next Thursday Sincerely, Heather
