With great sadness I must post the passing of another alumni. Josie Vullo went home to the Lord last week she was a member of the class of "73"
Today would have been our McKinley Alumni End of the Summer party but due to the virus I felt it was best to cancel it. I still wanted to do a gift card raffle. I pulled out three lucky winners while my husband Jim filmed. Thank You to all of our dedicated alumni members for your support over the years especially this year. We gained a few members this year but we also lost some as well. If you aren’t an alumni member and want to join let me know and I can send you the information on how to join. Be Safe & Stay Well.
It is with a heavy heart that I let you know that Marianne Timmerman passed away on August 2, 2020. I received a call today with this sad news. Marianne, her husband Russell and Otto Reinhardt started the Mc McKinley Alumni Association back in the early 80’s. Marianne volunteered a lot of her time and did so much for the association over the years. She will be greatly missed!!! https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/buffalonews/obituary.aspx

Hello McKinley Alumni Members!!! I hope everyone is doing good and are staying as healthy as you can. It is quite shocking what’s going on in our world right now. I just want to let everyone know that we are still planning to have our Alumni End of the Summer party. It’s scheduled for Saturday September 12, 2020 at Christe’s Banquet Hall in West Seneca. I’ll be starting the newsletter soon and members will receive their newsletters in July. I will also post all the party details here as well. If by chance things are still going bad and we can’t have our party we would just reschedule it for a later date. I hope everyone stays as healthy as they can.

It is with great sadness and regret that I inform you of the passing of Reverend Gary Michael Tydus, retired Assistant Principal of McKinley High School, where he also taught English for many years and served as Senior Class Advisor. Instrumental in getting many students into Colleges and Universities, Reverend Tydus slept away this morning after a brief illness. Reverend Tydus was a true servant who not only served the district as an educator, but served our country as a Cha...plain in the United States Air Force and served as Presiding Elder of the Buffalo and London, England Districts of the A.M.E Zion Church. He was the current Pastor of St. Paul's A.M.E Zion Church in Buffalo, New York and former pastor of Walls Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church. He was also a past Master of Paramount Lodge #73 and the former District Deputy Grand Master. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Buffalo Alumni Chapter, as well as many other community service organizations. Reverend Tydus served as a loyal member of our McKinley High School family and was a dedicated member of the Buffalo Council of Supervisors and Administrators. We are grateful for his Service. C. Barton Principal McKinley High School President Buffalo Council of Supervisors and Administrators
