Hail and Farewell - Larry Head, Lead Mechanic, McMichael Yacht Yards & Brokers In the Navy, when one of the ship’s leaders leaves for retirement or another duty post, the wardroom traditionally throws a Hail and Farewell party for the departing sailor. Just before Christmas last month, McMichael feted Larry Head (photo), Lead Mechanic and part of the McMichael family for 36 years. The J/99 has once again shown herself to be an extremely capable doublehanded racing machine with a definitive win in the Rolex Sydney Hobart race! Disko Trooper/Contender Sailcloth claimed first place in ALL THREE doublehanded scoring divisions: IRC, ORC and PHS. Big congrats to skpper and crew Jules Hall & Jan Scholten for a job well done!
