Windex and Essential Oils Does anyone remember the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding? The father telling everyone that Windex fixes everything? Have a zit, put some windex on it. Have a squeaky door handle, windex. That is me with essential oils! They fix everything! Ward off cold and flu with Theives. Need to calm down, mix up a batch of stress away (or buy it from your local dealer, Young Living dealer that is, LOL) and inhale deeply. DiGize it if you have an upset stom...ach. You can literally even mix drops of them into your morning cup of joe! I feel like I chase people down just to treat and tell them about oils! Ok, maybe it’s not that extreme, but you get the picture of how much I love them! You can buy a little jar of essential oils anywhere. However, it does not mean that it is 100% therapeutic grade! This is buyer-beware. Now I use a mix of oils from different suppliers, I like DoTerra and Young Living, but I also have a few favorites from Plant Therapy and Artizen. Buy from wherever you choose, but do your research first. Read your labels. Make sure you have 100% therapeutic grade oil! Take it from someone who used to rely on that bottle of Aleve and big pharma. Use the oils! Nachos Supreme 2# thinly sliced and chopped venison or beef steak 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion 1/2c Black beans, rinsed 1 jar queso blanco (this is optional) 1 1/2c shredded taco blend cheese 2 roma tomatoes, diced 1 can small black olives, sliced (optional for non-olive lovers) 1/2 bag shredded chipotle salad mix 1c lettuce, shredded blue and yellow corn tortillas salt and pepper Directions: -preheat skillet with 2 Tbsp coconut oil, add in garlic and onion, cook until almost transparent. Add in steak, optional seasoning with 1tsp chili powder, 1tsp cumin and cook until done. Remove from heat. On a cookie sheet, lined with parchment, start layers with chips first, then steak, black beans and shredded cheese. place in oven at 350 for 5-10 minutes, or until shredded cheese is melted. Remove from oven and layer queso, tomatoes, olives, salad mix and lettuce. And just because, cut open that dressing packet that came in the salad mix and pour that over top. You can always jazz this recipe by adding slices of peppers and topping with guacamole. That is the beauty of nachos supreme, you can make it however you want. Life is short. So, be crazy, be weird, do what makes you happy! And use your oils! :)

Spinach and learning to be healthy: So food blogs are a funny thing, it's kind of like a diary but jammies, food and coffee are involved. What's not to like?! So before I get to today's featured recipe, let me tell you a little about where this driving force of food comes from. I had a very bad relationship with food, that resulted in being morbidly obese, borderline diabetic with high blood pressure. Food was my stress relief, literally would eat my feelings. So somethi...Continue reading

Buffalo wing cauliflower. Oh yes. I did. And it's fabulous!! 1 head cauliflower, cut into bite size florets 1/2c water 1/2c flour ( I used gluten free but all purpose is fine)... 1tsp garlic powder 1/4tsp pepper 1/2tsp salt Toss all above ingredients together, then lay on a cookie sheet (spray with non-stick cooking spray) and bake at 450 for 15 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine 2-3Tbsp of melted margarine & 2/3c frank's hot sauce. Once cauliflower is done, toss with hot sauce mixture. Put back on pan and back in oven and bake for 25-30 minutes turning once, until crispy. Serve with celery and blue cheese or ranch. You'll thank me. I promise
