The girls of our Odyssey of the Mind team solve a spontaneous engineering problem yesterday in preparation for their upcoming competition. They had to build a structure that could hold 50 screws at least 2 inches off the ground using only 6 pieces of spaghetti, two pieces of paper, and a 2" piece of masking tape. We are finishing up another fun week teaching microsoldering. Our students come from all over the world for our course, all ages, and all walks of life. This week we had a dog walking business owner, retirees, a professional writer, an engineer, computer scientists, and a couple of folks from the US Army criminal investigation lab. Together we fixed over a dozen so called impossible cases to recover data from dead phones this week.
