We couldn't gather together in person this year, so we created a video as part of our 2021 celebration - a tribute to our Shining Stars in the Sky - the remarkable staff of Menorah Park! To our donors, sponsors, families, and community - we thank you for your belief in us, and for your generous support.

Supported by a grant from The Gifford Foundation along with other funders, Menorah Park has opened the first elder shelter in CNY. This newly created space offers a safe place for seniors with dementia or Alzheimer’s while helping transition them to a more supportive living situation.

COVID-19 may physically separate residents from their loved ones, but it can’t put a damper on celebrating remotely! Many thanks to the SJFS interns Alise and Ginny (not pictured) who were here on Christmas to help connect families via virtual calls, making the season a little brighter!

After a few tweaks to winterize and reinforce, the Matan B'Seter (Giving in Secret) food pantry is back in action! Generous donations made by our community, the Jewish Federation of CNY and the Pomeranz Shankman Martin Charitable Trust, go to support the frontline staff caring for our residents. Today Jewish Home residents and staff received their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. Thank you to our pharmacy partners, HealthDirect, for making this a smooth and safe deployment.

Thank you for helping our residents overcome pain and get stronger with your expertise, compassion, and positive approach! (Yup -even with masks on you can tell they're smiling!) You guys rock!
