Representatives from the Genessee Valley Region Ski Patrol came Wednesday to present a National Distinguished Service Award to Mercy Flight Central. It is an honor to receive this recognition from the National Ski Patrol. A National Distinguished Service Award is presented to those performing extraordinary service to the National Ski Patrol and the skiing public over a long period of time. This is the first such award ever presented to a Non-National Ski Patrol organization. Thanks to Jeff Welch, Bryan Howe, Kris Vasiliauskas and Mark Amico for joining us to present the award! #ProudtobeMFC #StrongerTogether #skipatrol

We have selected a very special letter as Honorable Mention in our Letters to the Comms Holiday Contest written by Randi when she was in 6th grade. Our Communications Center held a holiday letter contest with our E-911 center colleagues over the Thanksgiving break. The contest asked family members of E-911 Dispatchers to write about what being a hero meant to them. This message comes from Saydee, She relies on our E-911 heroes to keep her family safe. "Dear Mercy Flight Central, Being a dispatcher means answering important emergency calls. Dispatchers help people when they are in terrible emergencies. Dispatchers keep... police officers like my dad safe. From, Saydee Kathleen Spingler " #firstresponderspotlight #strongertogether #CayugaCounty911 Photographed (from left to right standing): Denise Spingler, Christine Leszczynski, Shelly Delfavero; kneeling left to right: Amanda Jessie, Casandra Rudicka, saydee Spingler, Sean Toole.
