We will work on housebreaking, crate training, socialization and basic ...obedience for 4 weeks - ROUND THE CLOCK. I will be interviewing next week. Lola's Litter is all gone now except for our two pre-trained boys and little Dixie Doodle (who will be a future mama for us). Thank you to all the families who have given our puppies the most wonderful homes. We prayed for our puppies to find loving homes, and to lead long, happy lives filled with praise and affection. We had a beautiful day here in the Hudson Valley. The weather was great, the sun was shining towards the afternoon, and the fall foliage was in all its glory. Lola modeled for us only for a few moments, she was really much more interested in exploring every nook and cranny of her still new yard. I can’t wait to see how she does with her puppies when that time (finally) comes. For now, we are still waiting and waiting...and waiting! Mother Nature can be unpredictable but hopefully she cuts us a break and gives in soon.

Our philosophy on breeding has always been about health. In our selection process, we've discovered that hereditary illnesses are prevalent in doodles, mostly thanks to their prevalence in the miniature poodle. Through our journey to find the healthiest possible moms and dads, we found Clifford. Clifford is really special to us not just because he's adorable, not just because he's got the "Rufus" red (a rare depth of color), but because he is only the 2nd stud we've ever com...e across that is completely - COMPLETELY - clear of every genetic disorder on the premium DNA panels we use. Clifford comes to us through Rainy Day Farms. Clifford is going to be a stud for us, and we plan to stud him out to other breeders as well in order to help build a healthy gene pool in these new breeds. A miniature LABRADOODLE, we are expanding our program to include labradoodles and double doodles.

On the subject of food, here’s an example of an easy homemade dog food that we’re using to supplement Lola’s diet as she prepares to go into he heat cycle. No salt added, no spices. Just chicken, carrots, red cabbage, cauliflower and peas.

Sometimes we get asked about good dog foods. We aren’t sponsored by this brand, I just believe in the product. N&D dog food really set the standard for us. The first ingredient is always real meat - not meat by products or grains. They use quality ingredients, eggs, fruits and vegetables, and never corn. We also feed our dogs a lot fresh chicken, carrots, blueberries, apples, watermelon (not the rind), and broccoli. The overwhelming majority of dog foods first ingredient is g...rains - this is the equivalent of feeding your dog Burger King EVERY DAY. Even using such high quality dog food, we still treat all kibble as a back up for the real whole foods we prepare at home, and I think that’s why we have been blessed with such healthy pups. I just snapped this. What a cutie pie!! Lola is going to get her OFA hip test done next week to certify her for GANA. We wanted to wait and have it done with her dental cleaning. Thank you all for reaching out to us regarding puppies. We expect her to have her next heat cycle as early as month from now. We have found 2 excellent stud dogs from the creator of the Goldendoodle in West Virginia. ...
