Does this picture look familiar? Now that the sun is out and it's warmer weather, we all want to get some Vitamin D and those cute wear tank tops and short sleeved tops. But some of us may have these little guys. This is Keratosis Pilaris; aka KP, aka chicken skin, aka those annoying little bumps on the side of your upper arm, possibly on the thigh or buttcheeks. Keratosis Pilaris is a build up of keratin - a hard protein that our body produces to protect the skin from bacte...ria and infection. A build up of keratin can block the hair follicle when we sweat, resulting in those little bumps and sometimes redness we see on our upper arms. To treat KP, my favorite product is @skinscriptrx Raspberry Refining Cleanser. The Raspberry cleanser has a Salicylic Acid; which softens keratinized barrier cells.
