Montgomery County Waterways Photography Competition The Montgomery County Water Quality Coordinating Committee announces our Hidden Waterways of Montgomery County photo contest. All streams, ponds and wetlands must be wholly or partially located within Montgomery County. No photos of the Mohawk River will be accepted for the 2019 contest. All photos must be taken in Montgomery County. All entries must have been taken in 2019 and include the following information: photogr...apher, location taken, date taken, water body name, photographers address, phone and email. All entries are due by August 7. One entry per person. Photos can be emailed to: [email protected] Digital photos must be maximum 3 MB. The photos will be judged by members of the water quality committee on: topic, photographic technique, and artistry. The top 10 photos, as chosen by the committee, will be printed and displayed at the 2019 Fonda Fair. Need trees? We have lots of trees left over from Fonda Fair. If you are interested in Balsam Fir or White Pine seedlings please contact the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation District at 518-853-4015

5,000 free trees!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Mohawk River Basin Program has provided 5,000 tree seedlings to be given away at this year's Fonda Fair. Stop by the Montgomery County Water Quality exhibit in the Agricultural and Grange Building (#17 on your fair map) and get some free trees!!!! We need to give away all 5,000 trees at the fair!!
