Some photos of Engine/Tanker 1412 operating at a structure fire yesterday morning in the West Laurens Fire District. MVFD crews were called for an automatic response to assist our sister companies, West Laurens Fire Department, Laurens Fire Department and Laurens Emergency Squad at about 4:12 AM on January 2, 2021. Engine 1412 responded to the scene, where the crew assisted in extinguishment operations. The operator of 1412 and truck were involved in a large scale tanker ...shuttle. Engine 1411 and Utility 1451 also responded and were tasked with initial water supply operations at a fill site. 1411 supplied 70,000+ gallons of water in the first 3 hours of operations. 1451 was called from the scene on 2 separate occasions to assist Laurens EMS with separate medical emergencies in the District. Our crews were back in service around Noon. District crews were assisted with mutual aid from Milford FD, Morris FD and EMS, Garrattsville FD, West Oneonta FD, Hartwick Co. #1 FD, Otego FD, Pittsfield FD, Edmeston FD, and Gilbertsville FD. Also on standby was Wellsbridge FD. A big thank you goes out to the Laurens Highway Department for clearing the roads and bringing in heavy equipment to assist in extinguishment operations. Luckily, no one was hurt at this fire scene. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the property owners.

We would like to send a HUGE thank you to the Mount Vision Garden Center and the Wilms Family for their support and hospitality yesterday!!! Their continued support of the MVFD and the community as a whole is second to none!! We sold 250 halves of chicken in a little over 2 hours. About 200 of those were sold in dinners. We would also like to congratulate Jeremiah Brooks and Anthony Cavalieri, who each won a live hog in our Pig Raffle
