Good riddance 2020- The modern roaring twenties, they called it, giving us an opportunity for a clean slate and a fresh perspective. 2020, the start of a new ...decade, our hopes were high; we had boundless dreams for a heathy and prosperous new year. We were barely into this new decade and mid-March, 2020, life as we knew it changed course and modern history. Shelter in Place, they called it. When in reality, we became Prisoners to a Pandemic. We were mentally tested in so many ways. COVID-19 brought about endless diversions and disruptions to our lives. Life as we knew it was over in ways that no one could have ever imagined. No playbook, no sound guidance, just instinct, and courage. Our minds and bodies were overwhelmed with concerns about our physical well-being, our financial security, difficult decisions, the health and safety of our families, and we were all reminded of how precious freedom is and the lifestyle we took for granted. Covid-19 robbed us of life’s many joys, which will never be reconciled. Keeping us all socially isolated and missing out on celebrations with our families and friends. So many milestones missed, so much sadness, so much confusion, so much grief, so much loss. The casualties of Covid will speak to us forever. As we say goodbye to 2020, let there be lessons here for us all. Twenty-twenty has taught us so much: who we are and what we value, a year of self-reflection, and hopefully, one of growth. I learned the importance of staying focused amid adversity, the importance of responding and not reacting, and to not take anything in life for granted. May we all leave 2020 with a clear vision of all we have learned, all that we love, and with our heart’s filled with hope for new beginnings, old traditions, love, laughter, and success. A gentle hello to what lies ahead! For Moves and Motions School of Dance, 2020 has been a time of strength and unity... even if much of it was spent apart. A HUGE thank you to all of our dance families who have provided us with tremendous support throughout this incredibly difficult year. We can only hope that we too, have made a difference in your lives these last twelve months. We wish for good health in this new year. We wish to continue to provide a home for so many young hearts. We wish to continue inspiring... and we wish, pray, and hope to watch our dancers take the stage once again. Sending only sparkly New Year’s Eve vibes your way tonight! Cheers to the New Year!
