A little food for thought if you’re planing on restoring your ceramic floors. Every now and then I see this mistake made. Here it was again yesterday. Some of the pictures you’re looking at are before and after contrast shots of clean and dirty grout. The last shot is near this customer’s stairs going down to her basement. She was missing grout there so she had it repaired. Here’s is where the repair error was made. The last picture is not a clean and dirty contrast, it’s all clean. The repair was done and he matched the dirty grout so that contrast is permanent unless the new grout is ground out and redone to match the clean grout. So keep in mind if you need grout repair clean first and the have the repair done shortly there after. Also a proper cleaning will usually accomplish 90% of the preparation needed for regrouting.
