Chautauqua County COVID-19 Map: https://chautauquacounty.maps.arcgis.com//opsd/index.html COVID-19 Testing Options in Chautauqua County: https://chqgov.com/public-health/covid-19-testing-sites NYS positivity rate information: https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county-d *You may notice a difference between what Chautauqua County Health Department reports on a daily basis and what you see on the NY Forward website. This is due to the timing of the reporting. NYS bases their numbers on all tests done during a calendar day. In an effort to get results to the public in a timely manner, the Chautauqua County Health Department reports results as soon as we are notified. NYS does little, if any, data cleaning. They do not account for transfer of care from one county or state to another. The Chautauqua County Health Department reports the most accurate case numbers for our county. We do not post our own positivity rates because of the conflict with NYS data. NYS data is used for decision making related to positivity rates. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICS MAYVILLE, NY - New York State continues to expand the populations that are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Because the number of people eligible to receive vaccine far exceeds the number of doses of vaccine available, it will take several weeks to months for all of those eligible at this time to get vaccinated. Please do not call or email the Chautauqua County Health Department for vaccine scheduling. As a ...reminder, local vaccination appointments cannot be made over the phone at this time. The Health Department has no ability to assist with issues with the state’s website or the state’s hotline. The scheduling of public vaccination clinics in Chautauqua County is dependent on vaccine allocated by New York State. The ability to plan these clinics in advance is very limited. Please continue to monitor the Health Department’s website frequently for any updated clinic registration links. Continue to scroll down the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics page (https://chqgov.com/public-heal/covid-19-vaccination-clinics) for clinic information.

COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution MAYVILLE, NY: I fully understand, appreciate and applaud the public’s eagerness to get vaccinated against COVID-19, said Christine Schuyler, Chautauqua County Public Health Director. However, the supply of vaccine is limited and all vaccine providers must follow New York State’s phased distribution plan based on need and risk. In December 2020, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for two COVID-...Continue reading

We are currently in the first phase of the distribution, Phase 1A of the NYS Regional Vaccination Implementations Plan. At this time, we cannot predict when future phases of vaccination will begin, as this will depend on our ability to get vaccine and move through distribution phases. Please continue to monitor our website for the most up to date COVID-19 information. NYSDOH has provided a tool to find out when you are eligible for a vaccine. Please go to https://am-i-elig...ible-qa.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/ to find out. The web page will ask for information such as your name, where you live, and what you do for a living. If you are in a priority group currently eligible for vaccination, the site will show you the location of nearby health care providers who can give you the vaccine. Just choose the one you prefer, and schedule the appointment. If it’s not yet your turn, you can check back anytime to find out when the time is right. If you have any other questions about this process or general questions about the vaccine, please go to https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/frequently-asked-quest or to https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/what-you-need-know to learn more. No vaccine is 100% effective. While you wait to get the vaccine and even in the weeks after receiving both required doses, you must make sure to continue to: Wear a mask Socially distance from others (at least 6 feet apart) Practice good hand hygiene
