MZL Home Care Agency appreciates our caregiver staff during the holiday season, and everyday of the year! This year, we recognize our exceptional RN, Nino Khunashvili. Nino has been a part of the MZL team since 2014. She displays love for what she does through her compassion and her constant availability to patients and staff. Nino is fluent in English, Russian, Georgian, and Bulgarian, and is skilled in developing and implementing treatment plans that emphasize patient safety. Nino supervises and instructs our home health aide team to ensure that our patients are properly being cared for in the comfort of their homes. Thank you, Nino, and thank you to our caring, compassionate, and committed team for providing the best care to our patients!

MZL was pleased to participate in the 32nd Annual Queens Family Support Conference sponsored by the Queens Council on Developmental Disabilities. MZL's representatives included their Chief Operating Officer Walter Kaltenbach along with the agency's Community Outreach Specialists, Ramona Vargas and Emilio DiSiervi. MZL provided information to more than 400 individuals in attendance about our unique specialized home care services for individuals with developmental disabilitie...s. Through our unique person-centered approach, MZL provides comprehensive support and services that individuals with special needs require in order to face their unique challenges and remain in their home environment with adequate safety and supervision. The Queens Council on Developmental Disabilities is an organization comprised of representative agencies under the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. In addition their network also consist of individuals with special needs, parents, family members, providers and advocates. The mission of the Queens Council is to advise, inform, advocate, identify needs and problems, and to work toward their resolution. The purpose of the QCDD is to assist and advocate for children and adults who have a diagnosis of developmental disabilities which began before age 22. The disabilities include, but not limited to, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, neurological impairments and learning disabilities. The Council is equally concerned with the families of those individuals. The Council maintains close relationships with the New York City and New York State governmental bodies in order to advocate for the individuals served by them.
