Oneida County is raising Breast Cancer Awareness all month long. In addition to the County Office Building in Utica being lit up pink in recognition, and person...al donations from our employees, a Wear Pink Walk was sponsored by the county's Employee Wellness Program on Oct. 9. More than 30 walkers observed coronavirus guidelines and participated, including two cancer survivors from the county's Rome office and a group from the 911 Center in Oriskany that was supporting a survivor of their own. Infinity scarves and hats with the breast cancer awareness logo that were knitted by an employee of the Health Department's daughter were also worn by those in attendance to show support.
