Congratulations to 1st Assistant Fire Chief Billy Buboltz and his wife Erin Buboltz on the arrival of their Baby Girl, Riley Kate Buboltz!! Everyone at the firehouse is so happy for the both of you and cant wait to meet her in person. Last night members of the New Paltz Fire Department voted to elect new officers for the 21-22 year. Results are as follows: Chief of Department - Cory Wirthmann 1st Assistant Chief - William Buboltz 2nd Assistant Chief - Patrick Koch... Captain - Steve Greenfield 1st Lieutenant - Liam Brenner 2nd Lieutenant - Alex Salanitri President - Branden Jansen Vice President - William Dubois Treasurer - Anthony Mazzurco Secretary - William Murray Trustee - Vito Mallardi Trustee - George Wirthmann Trustee - Ralph Scandariato We would like to thank all of the outgoing officers for their service and welcome all the new ones into office.

The new Village of New Paltz Fire Station will begin construction soon! Below is a link to the Daily Freeman article about the contractor awards. As it is a p...ublic works multiple prime project there will be five contractors. Along with the wonderful team at Alfandre Architecture we have a great construction management firm, The Palombo Group, on board as well. The new facility will serve the New Paltz Fire Department and the local community for generations to come. The building is designed to be ultra energy efficient and very resilient. See more

The New Paltz Fire Department would like to remind all residents that with the upcoming winter storm Gail that once the snow starts to accumulate to keep your fire hydrants clear on all sides and out to the street for quick and easy access for our members in the case of an emergency. We hope all stay safe during the storm, and please stay home if you do not need to go out during the storm to allow all Highway workers clear up the roads.

Several photos taken during the structure fire earlier this week. We don’t normally like to post photos of incidents. In this case we felt it appropriate to share our experience with this very large fire. Again, please be mindful that there was major property loss but we were able to save the primary residence that was in close proximity to the fire building. Couldn't be more proud of the firefighters who responded to this event last night. The professionalism and show of ability truly shined last night as we were able to save a residence from catching fire despite the amount of fire coming from the neighboring barn. I am truly amazed and happy to be apart of this great group of volunteers!! -Fire Chief Cory Wirthmann
